QR Trust lets you delete the data associated with your use of the app at any time. This page explains how to request deletion and what data is affected.

What data QR Trust collects

QR Trust does not require an account, and does not collect your name, email, or any data that identifies you personally. When you scan a QR code, the app sends the following to our servers to check whether the link is safe:

• A random device identifier — a random ID generated on your device (not linked to your identity).
• Approximate location — used to understand where scan activity occurs. Optional; only collected if you grant location permission.
• The scanned URL — the link contained in the QR code, checked against threat databases and reputation analysis.

How to request deletion

1. Email info@qerberos.com with the subject line “QR Trust — Data Deletion Request.”
2. So we can locate your records (which are tied only to an anonymous device ID, not to you), please include the approximate dates you used the app.
3. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Uninstalling QR Trust also stops all further data collection immediately.

What is deleted and what is kept

• Deleted: the device identifier, location data, and scan records associated with your device.
• Kept: anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g. total counts of safe vs. unsafe scans) that cannot be linked back to any device or person.
• Retention: scan records are retained only as long as needed to provide and improve the service, and are deleted upon request as described above.
